Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, coordinate teams, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.

This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity suited to a confident warehouse professional who can balance hands-on operational management with workforce planning, compliance, technology, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, assistants, and operational staff
• Recruit, train, develop, and monitor warehouse team performance
• Allocate daily warehouse activities according to shipment priorities and operational requirements
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered within required timeframes
• Monitor DIFOT targets, operational KPIs, and overall warehouse performance
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock control, stocktakes, and warehouse capacity
• Maximise the effective use of available warehouse space
• Coordinate the devanning of import containers in accordance with required procedures
• Liaise with Customs, freight providers, shipping companies, and external logistics partners
• Undertake MPI Facility Operator or Accredited Person responsibilities where required
• Optimise WMS and integrated IT systems to improve warehouse accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, IT, and other internal teams to support smooth operations
• Manage third-party suppliers and service providers supporting warehouse operations
• Lead workplace Health & Safety practices and maintain a safe working environment
• Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions and process improvements
• Ensure warehouse resources, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and utilised
• Support a positive, professional, and high-performing workplace culture

• Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar senior warehouse leadership role
• Strong experience managing warehouse teams, staff performance, and workforce development
• Sound knowledge of inventory management, stock accuracy, and warehouse capacity planning
• Understanding of international freight, import processes, and container devanning
• Knowledge of MPI requirements and relevant warehouse compliance procedures
• Strong commitment to workplace Health & Safety
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and a solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment
• High level of punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail
• Strong IT and warehouse management system skills
• Experience working within paperless or digitally integrated warehouse environments
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage resources efficiently and achieve operational targets
• Willingness to meet New Zealand employment and workplace requirements
